Description of lower crossed syndrome

Lower crossed syndrome is muscular pelvic / hip imbalance where the pelvis is pulled to a forward (anterior) tilt at the top and a backwards tilt at the bottom. This creates a “Donald duck butt” where the buttock protrudes backwards, creating a large curve in the lower back. The crossing muscle balance across the pelvis is non-existent in this case, which can result in injury and pain.

Symptoms and consequential damage from lower crossed syndrome
  • Runner’s back (lower back pain).
  • Baglårs skaderHamstring (back of thigh) injury.
  • Injuries in the groin.
  • Global back problems.
Rehab training

Rehab training is performed 2-5 times per week until balance is restored.
